Since Mr. Radon® feels that they should only be providing the most current industry knowledge and due to current changes to the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) 149.11 and 149.12, registration to our online courses has been restricted until updates can be made to our courses.

This does not prevent existing registrants from completing their existing courses.

Thank you for your patience.

Radon Measurement Technician

The first e-learning course is based on Health Canada Radon guidelines and explicitly designed to prepare students for the Canadian National Radon Proficiency Program (C-NRPP) Certification exam.

Train at your convenience with self-paced learning supported by comprehensive online video lessons, complete documentation and interactive quizzes.

Topics Covered

This course goes into depth about Radon, how to test for it, and an in-depth primer on what creates it, how it gets into a house, and how to fix high levels. The goal of this course is for you to speak effectively about all parts of the Radon measurement and mitigation process. We discuss the radioactive decay chain from the source Uranium through Radon gas and how it ends as stable (non-radioactive) Lead. Where it's located in rock and soil around a building, how it gets into a house, and the health effects it can cause. We detail the variety of testing devices available, along with their benefits and downsides, as well as the best methods for testing per the Health Canada Guidelines. Mitigation methods and examples are included so that you know what a system should look like.
